Day_5_Pt_2

So we flew to Hokkaido today(could see Mt Fuji out the window) and took a bus up to Niseiko. Rainy in Sapporro but the snow hit hard as we went up the mountain. Got settled and met up with Ray Patrick(from NYC) and pounded at a bar called the Nakaya. It was snowing so hard and Mia and Jun at the bar are mad cool. I can tell already that this place is gonna be great. A lot more Caucasians than excited though, evidently there is a huge Australian following here, what evs.

Day 5

So both of my trips to Japan so far I've found it impossible to sleep past 6am. Today after laying wide awake since 5am I set out for a warm can of coffee and took my camera. It rained all night but wasn't this morning, this place is beautiful at sunrise. And so so quiet. There was people heading to school, work, etc but still so quiet.

Day 4

Pretty quiet day today. Yuko's Parents were at a computer class all morning and we just chilled. Skated around for about an hour, saw a bunch of almost dope skate spots but nothing to post as I left everything but the shuffle at home. Thanks for the shuffle usage Drew, don't know what I would have done with out my Iron Maiden today! Later we went to schedule a traditional family/wedding picture, and yes I will be wearing a komono. Yuko's father wa steasing me saying Samyrai! samyrai!

We're packing for Hokkaido tomorrow super stoked. Just wondering if I'll bring my camera on the hill or rip it and shoot around the village. I'll have to see how it goes. Here's a pick of the inlaws

Day 3

So today Yuko and I joined her father on a 2 hour drive to the mountains to get water from a natural spring.
There wasn't much for me to do while the water containers filled (it's really more of a trickle than a spring) so I went wondering down a steep hill side over a little river that you can tell is a lot deeper and stronger in the spring and found a crazy abandon bus/camper for anyone who has ever read or watched the movie version of Into the Wild, it felt like the same thing. Busted windows, ransacked the whole deal. I was sure I was gonna find a dead hippy in there.

wasn't there a saying about growing up next to power lines?

Day 2

Well day two was action packed. Cold as hell today so we shopped around and went bowling. Bowling alleys here don't sell beer but no one minded that I brought a 22oz of Asahi and a little bottle of Japanese whiskey. Too many picks to show a whole day but here's a little something. Yuko's old friend Sachiyo picked us up. Super fun despite getting locked out of the house upon returning. Also added a dope car pick I snapped while waiting for Yuko's Otousan to return and let us in. Loving my new Camera. Also saw this pick in Ollie Magazine featuring a Zoo Graphic that Nish did. Sick dude.

Japan Day 1

After a 15 hour flight over Japan to Korea, a 4 hour lay over and a 3 hour flight back to where we needed to go. We're here and relaxing with Yuko's Okaasan(mom)! Watch the blog I'll try to blog at least a pick daily. Here's some from our layover in Korea.
